Why I Created Womxn and Compass Collective

I’m Geri Lopez.
I’m a clinical trauma and attachment based therapist.
And I’m also a burnout life coach.

Womxn and Compass Collective came from noticing the same pattern again and again.

Capable, emotionally aware womxn. High achieving. Thoughtful. The ones who hold everything together. At work. In their families. In their relationships. And even when life looks good on the outside, inside they feel tense, tired, or like they’re constantly bracing.

Always doing.
Rarely exhaling.

That’s not a mindset issue. That’s a nervous system that’s been in survival mode for a long time.

In my therapy work, everything is rooted in trauma and attachment. I’m based in Jersey City, NJ and work with adults who want therapy that goes deeper than coping skills alone. We look at the patterns that formed early and how they’re still showing up now. People pleasing. Overgiving. Overthinking. Feeling responsible for everyone else’s comfort. We slow things down so your body can feel safer, not just your mind understand what’s happening.

Because insight without safety doesn’t change much.

My coaching work is for people who are burned out but still capable. You don’t need more motivation or discipline. You need your life to stop running on self abandonment. We work on boundaries, identity shifts, and capacity led decisions so your success actually feels sustainable instead of draining.

I don’t believe healing should feel like another job.
I don’t believe burnout is the price of ambition.
And I don’t believe you need to fall apart to justify getting support.

Womxn and Compass Collective is where therapy and coaching meet. Where emotional depth and real life strategy exist in the same space. Where your nervous system, your relationships, and your leadership all get to matter.

This work isn’t for quick fixes or rigid formulas. It’s not for people who want to bypass their patterns or rush the process. It’s for people who are honest, reflective, and ready to build a life that actually fits who they are now.
